When I came to the Bar Method, I was looking for something that I could do to make my life healthier.
After two knee surgeries and arthritis, simply walking thru the day was a challenge, and if I tried to walk for exercise, I was a wreck.
Many people had suggested swimming. But really here in Portland I just felt like I would always be wet! And besides, pools would lose the concept of relaxation and palm trees if I took up swimming.
I wasn’t ready for that and I’m not even going to talk about what the chlorine would have done to my hair color.
Before the surgeries I have done lots of different things for exercise: volley ball, jazzercise, biking, running, walking, Zumba, Nia and Hooping to name a few, but none of these were working for me any more.
